Premium Interconnects
Clef Labs interconnects are hand made, to the specifications of the installer. You get to specify the exact length of cable that you require (to the nearest 0.25ft) in either a mono, stereo or Y cable configuration. The cable can be specified to be directional in which aids in noise rejection.

Each cable is built using Clef Labs premium interconnect RCA plugs. Should you opt to construct your own interconnects you can still utilize Clef Labs RCA plugs.
Cable Options
Interconnect Cable
There are three cabling options offered
Eight conductor 24 awg stranded 100% copper wire encase in a PVC jacket offers the most options as a single cable run can be used for up to four RCA interconnects on each end. The wire is flexible enough to be routed through your vehicle and has a diameter of 5.8mm (0.23 in), which is small enough to be unobtrusive in most installations.
22 awg single pair cable with a drain wire. This cable incudes a drain wire and foil shielding for enhanced RF / EMI noise rejection. The cable is ideal for balanced mono interconnects where only the highest quality is expected. This slim cable has a OD of 3.35 mm (0.132 in) which easily allows this cable to be routed, even in the most challenging of installations.
For installs where high abrasion resistance is required 8.0mm (0.315 in) OD PVC jacket microphone cable is offered. This cable includes a pair of 21 awg copper conductors encased in a braided copper shield. The cable can be flexed multiple times without fear of breakage of the conductors.
Abrasion Resistance
TechFlex PET also enhances the safety and longevity of the cable as there is increased resistance to chemical degradation, UV radiation and abrasion. In addition there is an aesthetic appeal TechFlex PET as it can be included in several colours and/or patterns.
Directional Cables
To increase noise rejection all of the cables can be made to be directional. This allows the source end of the cable to have either the drain wire or shielding to be connected to the outer ring of of the RCA plug (typically a grounded connection). RF / EMI introduced noise is directed away from the next item in the signal chain (e.g. amplifier, processor, etc.).
